It’s been estimated that the modern family’s dependence on fossil fuels, is equivalent to having around 100 human slaves living in your basement. To replace the energy we use in our modern lives, those slaves would have to toil for us, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year.
What would you do, if our energy sources suddenly disappeared? How would you cope, or even function? What could you do to perform those tasks that our technology does for us on a daily basis…Without oil, electricity, or gas?
This week, a “Derecho” (Straight line) wind storm knocked out electrical power to millions of people, right across the Eastern Seaboard. Some will be without power forup to a week, and right in the middle of a horrible heat wave!!! (How many people will die as a result of heat stroke?) Reports are already surfacing that grocery store shelves are emptying. Lines are forming around the block, from gasoline stations that do still have the power to run their pumps.
This Wednesday at 8:00 p.m. Central time on American Prepper’s Network Radio (9:00 Eastern), we’ll have a discussion about energy strategies. We’ll share ideas about how we can prepare ahead of time, for the possibility of losing our energy sources. We’ll talk about affordable alternatives, and how to implement them in our lives.
